Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that the care plans of patients are accurate and reflect any changes required based on the patients changing condition
- Conducting physical exams to assess patients health needs and problems
- Ensure that all care plans are in line with all accreditation standards and legislative requirements
- Implementing physicians orders and providing the best care in line with guidelines
- Performing treatments, including starting IV’s, administering medications and treating various wounds and sores
- Adhering to all legislation that governs quality standards, professional clinical registration requirements and standards of practice, including mandatory reporting responsibilities
About you
To be successful in the role of Aged Care Registered Nurse, you will be patient, have a friendly yet professional manner and have previous experience within this role.
In addition to the above, you will also possess:
- Current AHPRA registration
- Full Working Rights
- NDIS Check or Willingness to obtain
- National Police Check within 12 months
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Ability to inspire trust and confidence
- Previous experience of working within an aged care setting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care and compliance
